Privacy Policy

This is the privacy policy for Neuro8 ("we", "us", "our"). Neuro8 is operated by V8 Media (Pty) Ltd, a company registered in South Africa. We take your privacy seriously, and we want you to know exactly what data we hold, why we hold it, and how to get it back or delete it.
1. Who we are
Neuro8 is built and operated by V8 Media (Pty) Ltd. Contact details are at the bottom of this page.
2. What Neuro8 does
Neuro8 is a marketing analytics tool. You connect your own marketing accounts — Facebook Pages, Instagram Business accounts, Meta Ads accounts — and we analyse your ads and organic posts so you can see which creative is working and why. We also let you upload content (text, video, audio scripts) for neural-activation analysis before you ship it.
3. The data we collect
When you use Neuro8, we store:
- Account info — your email address (used to log you in)
- Workspace data — brand profiles, audience profiles, product details that you enter manually
- Content you upload — ad scripts, text, video, audio files that you submit for analysis
- Connected Meta data — when you connect Meta, we sync the pages and ad accounts you administer, your ads (creative, copy, performance metrics), and your organic posts (text, media URLs, engagement counts). We also store an encrypted access token so we can re-fetch this data on your behalf.
- Analysis output — the brain-activation predictions we generate, the content briefs we draft, the reports we compile
- Usage data — basic logs of when you visited and what you clicked, used only to keep the service running
4. How we use it
We use your data to:
- Run the service for you — analyse your content, sync your ads, generate reports
- Improve the service — using anonymised samples only, never your raw business data
- Communicate with you — account emails, and product updates if you've opted in
We do not sell your data. Ever. We do not run advertising pixels. We do not share data with advertising networks, data brokers, or analytics resellers.
5. Third parties we share data with
To run Neuro8, we send data to a small set of trusted providers:
- Anthropic (Claude API) — when we analyse your ad copy or generate a content brief, we send the relevant text and your brand context to Anthropic for AI interpretation. We never send your raw account credentials. Anthropic does not train models on your inputs.
- Meta (Facebook / Instagram Graph API) — when you connect Meta, we use your access token to fetch your ads and posts on your behalf. This is how every Meta tool works.
- Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany) — our servers are hosted in Germany. Hetzner provides infrastructure but does not access the database contents.
- Vercel / Anthropic / others as needed for ancillary services (e.g. email delivery). Each is bound by its own data-protection terms.
6. What we read from your Facebook and Instagram
When you connect a Meta account, we read only what you grant during the OAuth flow:
- Facebook Pages you administer (name, ID, follower count)
- Instagram Business accounts linked to those pages
- Your ad accounts and the ads inside them (creative, performance metrics)
- Your organic page posts (caption, media URL, engagement counts)
We do not read your private messages, your personal Facebook profile beyond name and email, other people's pages or ads, or anything outside the scopes you explicitly granted.
You can disconnect Meta at any time inside Neuro8 — when you do, we delete your access tokens immediately.
7. Where your data lives
Our database is hosted on a server in Falkenstein, Germany, operated by Hetzner. Sensitive fields — Meta access tokens — are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM. Backups run daily and are also encrypted.
8. How long we keep it

When you delete your account (see Data deletion), we permanently remove all your data within 30 days. Anonymous aggregate stats may be retained for product improvement but cannot be linked back to you.
9. Your rights
- Access — see all the data we hold about you. Email info@neuro8.ai.
- Correct — fix anything that's wrong. Most things you can edit inside the app.
- Delete — request full removal. See our data-deletion page.
- Export — get a copy of your data as JSON. Email info@neuro8.ai.
- Object / restrict — limit how we process your data. Email info@neuro8.ai.
We respond to requests within 30 days.
10. Cookies
Neuro8 uses only essential cookies — for login sessions and remembering your theme preference. We do not use third-party tracking cookies, marketing cookies, or advertising pixels.
11. Children
Neuro8 is built for adult marketers. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top will change. If a change meaningfully affects your rights, we'll email you.
